Rev. Marlin Edward Gipson's Obituary
Rev. Marlin Edward Gipson age 83 passed away Tuesday July 7, 2015 at his residence in Bogalusa La. He was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church and before retirement pastored there for 11 years. He also served in the US Army in Korea and was a member of Center Lodge 244 F & AM.
He is survived by two sisters, Montez Gipson Miller Locke of Purvis Ms, and Katie Mae Gipson Bolin of Lumberton Ms. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Talitha Miller, Tripper Gipson and Casey M. Gipson.
He is preceded in death by his wife Nita Faye Gipson, son Marlin Gipson Jr., parents Griffin and Lula Gipson and many brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Friday July 10, 2015 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. It will continue of Saturday July 11, 2015 from 9 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 11 a.m. Masonic service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites conducted by Magic City Post 24 of the American Legion. Rev. Ray Meigs and Rev. Pete Underwood will officiate.
In lieu of Flowers donations can be made to Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church.
