Joseph Harvey's Obituary
Rev. Joseph Mack Harvey born October 12,1918 passed away September 8,2011 at the Care Center in Baton Rouge La. at the age of 93. Rev. Harvey was a life long resident of Bogalusa. He was a long time member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church and was called into the Ministry where he served as Interim Pastor at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in DeRidder, La., Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and other Churches in the Bogalusa community.
Rev. Harvey is survived by his wife Helen Harvey of Bogalusa, one son Gary(Earline) Harvey of Seabrook Texas. Step-son Wayne Thomas of Georgia, brother Willard Harvey, and a sister Wilma Harvey. He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren , 8 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his first wife Hazel Harvey, son Joseph Harvey III, three brothers John, Fred, and Brooks Harvey.
Funeral Services will be held at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church on Monday September 12,2011 at 11:00A.M. with Rev. Pete Underwood officiating the services. The Interment will follow at Ponemah cemetery located off Hwy 10 east here in Bogalusa.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home September 11,2011 from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M.and again after 9:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. Brown-McGehee are in charge of arrangements. Friends and Family may view online and sign the Guest book at www.brownmcgehee.com.
