Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Saba Krebs' Obituary
Elizabeth Saba Krebs, also known as Betty, was peacefully called to her forever-home Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the age of 87. She was born on July 1, 1938, in Bogalusa where she resided all her life. An only child, she was proceeded in death by her parents, David Saba and Christine Marie Saba and her beloved husband of 40 years, Joseph V Krebs. They were active members of Annunciation Catholic church in Bogalusa.
Before retiring, Elizabeth worked for the United States Department of Interior in Slidell. At the young age of 50, she went on to acquire a 4-year degree in Accounting from Louisiana University.
Elizabeth had several passions. She loved working in her yard and garden, picking and canning figs. She had an extensive recipe collection and loved to sew. Her greatest passion was finishing wood to bring out its natural beauty. She could make a piece of wood smooth as glass. Elizabeth loved to walk. She and her husband were regularly seen walking the loop in the Cassidy Park, getting their steps in before it was a thing.
Elizabeth is survived by several cousins, 3 sister-in-law’s and an abundance of nieces and nephews. She was admired and loved and will be missed.
