Ms. Wilma D. Adkins' Obituary
Wilma D. Adkins, age 79, of Bush, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Wilma filled the lives of those around her with warmth and kindness. She was known for her infectious love of television, often immersing herself in her favorite shows, particularly NCIS, which brought her much joy.
Wilma leaves behind her two sons, Lindsey Adkins and Randy Robinson (Sissy); her daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Stanton (Bill); and her cherished grandchildren, Wesley Basye, Mandi Traschel, along with eight additional grandchildren. She also is lovingly remembered by her sister, Audry Rowland.
Wilma was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Wilber and Emma Rowland, and two beloved sisters, Mary Sue Hathaway and Linda Martin. While her passing leaves a profound void in the lives of her family and friends, her spirit will continue to shine in the memories they hold dear.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home has been entrusted with final arrangements. A celebration of life honoring Wilma will be announced at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and love in her memory. Wilma will be profoundly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
