Mr. William Allen Powell Sr.'s Obituary
William Allen Powell, Sr., passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Covington, LA, after a long battle with illness. He was an avid music-collecting enthusiast, a history buff, enjoyed watching documentaries, and kept up on all the political stats. Mr. Powell worked as a ship fitter at Textron Ship Systems, but retired from Home Depot as a sales associate. He also served in the United States Air Force from 1961 until 1965.
He is survived by three sons: William Allen (Hope) Powell, Jr., Russell (Gloria) Powell, and Scott Bryan (Lacey) Powell; twelve grandchildren: Steffany Powell, Michelle Powell, Ashlyn Powell, Shelby Powell, Landyn Powell, Tyler Powell, Emmersyn Powell, Kaiden Powell, Masyn Powell, Dawsyn Powell, Bostyn Powell, and Alexa Trusclair; two great-grandchildren: Ko Ueno and Koharu Ueno; two brothers: Brent Powell (Debbie) and Greg Powell (Pam); and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his devoted wife: Mrs. Carolyn Powell; and his parents: James and Edith Powell.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
