Mrs Waver Irene Jordan's Obituary
Mrs. Waver Irene Jordan born June 18,1921 and a life long resident of Washington Parish and a resident of Bogalusa passed away at Heritage Manor nursing facility in Franklinton at 90 years of age. She owned and operated Thomas Café here in Bogalusa. She was a member of Thomas First Baptist church .
Mrs. Jordan is survived by a son Troy Jordan of Bogalusa, two daughters Linda( Joseph Sr.) Johnson of Mandeville, La.. and Kathy(Randy)Branch of Pine. Three brothers Dewey Thomas, Phillip Ray Thomas, and Douglas Thomas all of the Thomas community. Five sisters Elizabeth Thomas and Janette Ahlman both of Thomas, Isabel Hayman, Ada Merle Manish, and LaDonia Hill all of Bogalusa, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces& nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by husband Houston Jordan, brother Simon Thomas, and Grandson Erin Joseph Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Saturday August 20,2011 at 11 AM with Rev. Denny Brumfield officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens located on Spring Valley road here in Bogalusa. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Thomas First Baptist Church Building Fund.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday August 19 2011 from 6 PM-9 PM and again Saturday morning from 8 AM until service time at 11 AM. Friends and family may view and sign the Guestbook at www.brownmcgehee.com.
