Vergie Eloise McDonald Cooper's Obituary
Vergie Eloise McDonald Cooper, age 91, died on Monday May 25, 2015 at Hospice House in Slidell, Louisiana.
She was a woman of divine faith and member of The White Sand Apostolic Church. She will forever be cherished as a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Cooper, her parents Charlie Corbitt McDonald and Leona Jones McDonald, two brothers, Bill and Wilson McDonald, one sister, Helen Jones Henton.
She is survived by one son, Joseph Cooper, his wife Kathy, and two granddaughters, Amanda and Ashley Cooper and one sister-in-law, Mamie Thomas McDonald, all of Bogalusa; Four nieces, Sandra Whiteknact, Ronda Jones, Dianne Muchow, Deborah Rodish, two nephews, Edward and Dale McDonald, and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Thursday May 28, 2015 from 9 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Ponemah Cemetery. Rev. Raymond Rester will officiate.
