Toxie LaDell Mitchell's Obituary
"Toxie" LaDell Duncan Mitchell, age 90 of Bogalusa la. Passed away Thursday Feb. 23, 2012 at her daughters home in Prescott Valley, AZ surrounded by her family. She was born Sept 13, 1921 in Mississippi and mover shortly thereafter to Bogalusa La.
She was a member of Monroe Street Baptist Church. American Legion Post #24 and a Veteran of the United States Army.
She is survived by one son, Perry (Terry) Keen of Bogalusa., three daughters Elaine (David) Cantu, Jo Clark ,Martha Keen of Prescott Valley, Az. Brother L.C. (Sharon) Cochran of Denham Springs La. Six grandchildren, David (Megan) Cantu, Lisa Sorrell (Roy Russell), Debby Young all of Prescott Valley, Az; Dawn (Mark) Jones of Mission Viejo, CA; Michelle (Tim) Blansett of Kokomo, Ms. And Mike Keen of Bogalusa La.; Eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceeded in death by her parents Ab Duncan and Marie Duncan Cochran, son Rodney Keen, brothers Dude Duncan, Hopson Duncan and W.C. Cochran. Sisters Mary Lou Eller Duncan and Ruth Jones.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home Sunday Feb. 26, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will continue Tuesday Feb. 28, 2012 from 8 a.m. until time for service in the chapel at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Ponemah Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Magic City Post #24 of the American Legion.
