Mrs. Susan Diane Magee's Obituary
Susan Diane Magee, age 58, passed away October 12, 2024, at her home in Bogalusa, LA. She always enjoyed her family and friends, especially when cookouts and fried chicken were involved. Susan loved collecting windchimes and figurines, but above that, she loved tinkering and fixing things with duct tape and cardboard.
She is survived by her husband: Herbert Penton “Pops”; two daughters: Felicia Miley Dixon (Pat Dixon) and Courtney Miley; one son: Joseph Penton; a son-in-love: Harvey Loupe (the late Diane Loupe); seven grandchildren: Cherish Miley, Makenna Fox, Cameron Graves, Will Moody IV, Enzo Cangelosi, Harvey Loupe, Jr., and Evan Loupe; two sisters: Belinda Newcomb and Michelle Beeson; a brother: Floyd Miley; a special aunt: Vicki Spears; special sister-in-law: Nita Knight; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Susan was preceded in death by a daughter: Diane Loupe; her parents: Alton Miley, Sr., and Margie Beeson; and one brother: Alton Miley, Jr.
To know Susan, you would know she was a caring and loving person, who would go out of her way to help and always welcomed anyone through her door! She fought a long, difficult road with cancer and was determined to overcome any obstacles that came in the way of it.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation will start at 1PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, until time of service at 5PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Pounds Cemetery in Bogalusa, LA.
