Sadie Bennett's Obituary
Sadie Bennett age 95 passed away Jan. 14, 2015 at Our Lady Of the Angels Hospital. She was a resident of Bogalusa and member of Heritage Baptist Church in Bogalusa. She was a retired packager for Red Bird Ice Cream. She also spent a number of years working at Brown-Mcgehee Funeral Home.
She is survived by two sons, Jackie Bennett "Mae" of Bogalusa, and Otis Earl "Sonny" Bennett "Marianne"of Bogalusa. One daughter Lana Spears of Bogalusa. Grandchildren, Mark Bennett "Tracy", Regina Hunt "Steve", Tina Majors, Troy Bennett, Mike Cooper, and Jodi Hameed "Shah". Eight great grandchildren and six great -great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Bennett, her parents Frank and Bertha Carter, brothers Floyd Carter, Otis Carter, and T O "Buster" Carter. Sisters Lillian Fisher and Winnie Adams.
Visitation will be in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home of Saturday Jan. 17, 2015 from 10 a.m. until time for services at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Morris Cemetery. Rev. Joseph Porter will officiate.
