Mr. Russell Dykes' Obituary
On February 13, 2021, Mr. Russell Kevin Dykes, passed away peacefully in his home in Slidell, LA. Mr. Dykes was born and raised here in Bogalusa, LA , where he lived his entire life. He was a life-long truck driver, which he had a true passion for.
Mr. Dykes was an avid fisherman, loved restoring antique cars, and watching the drag races. Although, Mr. Russell enjoyed all these things, his true love was entertaining his grandchildren that he loved unconditionally.
He was survived by a daughter, Amanda Dykes (Devon White); one sister, Kimberly Heagle (Robert), and three grandchildren: Noah, Makenzie, and Adelyn White.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Hilry Dykes; grandparents, Plessie and Velma Dykes, James Truman, Hilda Cooper Jones, and Willard Singletary; two uncles, George Dykes and Dent Dykes; and one aunt, Azzie Temples.
Bro. Sunny Travis will be officiating services in the chapel.
