Ms. Robin Baggett Bowman's Obituary
Robin Baggett Bowman, age 65, passed away at her home March 1, 2026. Robin was born in Bogalusa, but graduated from Poplarville High School, and then went on to complete nursing school at Louisiana Vo-Tech (Northshore Technical Community College). She dedicated her life to the nursing profession for over thirty years, including minor care, labor & delivery, and retired from providing care at Rayburn Correctional Center. Throughout her life she spent her time enjoying and taking care of family, riding motorcycles, and riding horses. Robin has always been described by her friends, co-workers, and anyone who knew her as being sweet, kind, loving and caring.
She is survived by two sons: James Bowman (Myriah) and David “Scott” Thompson (Christy); fourteen grandchildren: Nicole, Sydney, James, Cherris, Robin, Wyatt, Jordan, Elizabeth, Desiree, Tatum, Ahnna, Chaz, Abby, and Ava; four great-grandchildren: Percy, Luka, Fischer, and Ryker; two unborn grandchildren: Damien and McKenna; one sister: Melody Pounds; and many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Robin was preceded in death by her parents: J.L. and Jenny Baggett; one brother: Mark Baggett; and a brother-in-law: Alfred Holden.
Active pallbearers are as follows: Chad Thompson, Joey Thompson, Curtis Hodges, Lance Pounds, Eddie McDaniel, and Kelly Bowman.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Tuesday, March 10, 2026, visitation will start at 11AM in the funeral home chapel until the time of service at 1PM. Interment will immediately follow at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa, LA.
