Mr. Robert Wayne "Big Country" Polk Jr.'s Obituary
It is with deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of Robert (Lil Robert) “Big Country” Wayne Polk, Jr. The beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friends passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at his home in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Those who knew Robert, even just a little, lost a shining light in their life. Robert had a heart of gold and loved living the country life. Robert was a member of Living Way Pentecostal Church. He led bible studies with other men and loved praising the Lord. He was excited about the journey he was about to begin exploring, attending Coastal Truck Driving School in New Orleans.
Robert will be missed every day by his mother and step-father: Donna Strahan Crain and Reggie Crain of Lumberton, MS; his father and step-mother: Robert Wayne Polk and Shelly Polk of Isabel, LA; one brother and sister-in-law: Corey Polk and Amanda Polk of Newport, TN; two sisters: Candice Greene and husband, Cris Greene of Sevierville, TN and Kristen Polk of Isabel, LA; his beloved grandmother, who he loved with all his heart: Evelyn Polk of Isabel, LA; and a host of many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and many great friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Nathan Polk of Isabel, LA; maternal grandparents: Levert and Alice Faye Strahan of Bogalusa, LA; paternal grandfather: Robert Darrel Polk of Isabel, LA; and an uncle: Preston Schilling of Bogalusa, LA.
