Mr. Robert "Rusty" Fornea's Obituary
Robert A. “Rusty” Fornea, a resident of Angie, died Tuesday evening November 17, 2020, at Our Lady of the Angels hospital in Bogalusa, LA.
He was well-known for his registered Holstein cows and later followed in the footsteps of his forefathers building Fornea 5 Lumber Co with his sons. His children and grandchildren were his biggest blessings.
Mr. Fornea is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sarah Evelyn “Sally” Fornea, the love of his life. Together they had 5 children: Robert, Michelle Simmons (Scott), Michael (Lynnette), Stephen (Tonya), and Anna Temples (Randall).
He loved his grandchildren more than life itself-Sarah Lessard, Stephanie Brooks, Eric Fornea, Marcus Fornea, Bailey Fornea, Hunter Temples, Hayden Fornea, Logan Temples, John Scott Simmons, Jacob Simmons, Camden Fornea, and Carter Fornea and great-grandchildren: Avery Brooks, Blake Brooks, and Sebastian Lessard.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Donis B. Fornea; his father, Julius R. “Dude” Fornea; a sister, Cynthia Kennedy; mother-in-law, Eckel Wood; and a father-in-law, John M. Wood.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in honor of “our paw-paw.”
Services will be handled by Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, Bogalusa, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Jason Shawley and Bro. Larry Mizell.
