Mr. Richard Dykes' Obituary
Richard Dykes, 50 years of age, passed away at his home on September 1, 2021. Richard was born on August 17, 1971 in Independence, LA. He loved fishing and sitting under his favorite tree with his dog Smokey. Richard also loved to grow vegetables in his garden, he also loved to grill and spend time with his family. Richard worked with Asplundh Tree Company for many years. He studied electrical engineering at Rankin College in Pearl, Mississippi.
He is survived by three children Lander, Leland, and Haylyn Dykes; his mother Deborah Dykes; brother and sister-in-law Patrick and Tammy Dykes; sister and brother-in-law Jody and Wanda Guyllette; four nieces Megan, Callie, Summer, and Harley Guyllette all of Franklinton. Also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends and special loved ones in Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his father Johnny Dykes, a sister Sheila Dykes, a niece Kaitlyn Guyllette, his grandparents Milton Penton and Dora McCain and James and Athlea Dykes, five uncles Jerry and David Penton, Leroy Forbes, James and Kenneth Dykes, one aunt Rosa Penton and two cousins Devon and Sherry Penton.
