Philip J. "Butch" Cedotal, Jr.'s Obituary
Philip J. "Butch" Cedotal Jr., a resident of Bogalusa passed away Monday, February 22, at his home at the age of 68. The first born and only son of Philip and Audrey Cedotal, he was born May 29, 1947.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley J. Cedotal, his daughter, Phyllis Cedotal Warren, his granddaughter, McKenna Rae Bryant, and long time friend and mother of his children, Sylvia Drake.
Butch ( as he was known to all ) served in the United States Army from 1966 until 1968, the last year being in Vietnam. Following his discharge he spent many years as a master carpenter, skilled and talented in his trade. His love for horses led him to become one of the founders of the Bogalusa Community Arena. Through his carpentry work and his affliliation with the arena he became known and loved by many.
Butch was preceded in death by his beloved son, Philip Joseph "Buddy" Cedotal as well as his parents Philip Cedotal, Sr. and Audrey Kalb Cedotal.
Visitation will be at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until !:00 P.M. in the chapel. Rev. Micah Collins of First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens with full military rites by the Magic City American Legion Post #24.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
