Onice "Red" Hill's Obituary
Onice "Red" Hill age 89 passed away Sept. 5, 2013 at AMG Speciality Hospital here in Bogalusa. He was a resident of Bogalusa. He served his country during WWII with the US Army and was involved in battles and campaigns in Normandy, Northern France, Arndennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe, Ground Combat.
He is survived by his wife Emily of Bogalusa La. Step sons Alan Hope of Angie La., Marvin Hope of Weaverville Calif. And Michael Hope of Sun La. Three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son Phillip E. Hill, parents, Willis and Lovie Hill, brothers Otis Hill, Pete Hill, Oree Hill, Ocie Hill and O G Hill. Sisters Lucy Dillon, Suzie Neilson, and Elsie Hill.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Saturday Sept. 7, 2013 from 9 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 2 p.m.Burial will be in Hillview Memorial Gardens with military rites conducted by Magic City Post #24 of the American Legion.
