Mrs. Olga "Nina" Cazenave Page's Obituary
Olga “Nina” Cazenave Page, age 95, flew away to Glory on March 29, 2026. While originally called “Nina” by her first grandchild, she quickly became Nina to everyone who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick B. Page, and grandson, Patrick G. Page. Olga’s big smile and bright spirit will be missed by her family. She is survived by her son Larry (Gail) Page; daughter Polly (Jimmy) Thigpen; four grandchildren Logan (Jenny) Stogner, Leah (Jacob) Draffen, Sarah (Alan) Morrison, and Anna (Jeremy) Holden; 13 great grandchildren; and sister Yolanda Wood.
Always humming or singing, “I’ll Fly Away”, especially in the mornings, Olga knew and loved Jesus. She was a member of Ben’s Ford Baptist Church for 50 years and kept photos of her children and grandchildren in her Bible to show anyone who asked.
Never one to sit still, Olga enjoyed planting flowers, working in the yard, making flower arrangements, hunting for deals at Dollar Tree and Dirt Cheap, and always having her dessert before the meal. Even though Olga was prudent when it came to herself, she was generous when it came to her children and grandchildren.
Born in La Lima, Honduras, Olga moved to the states as a young teen to learn English. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she met her husband of 59 years. She was employed for 25 years at Washington Bank where she became friends with many in the community, and in retirement, she helped at Ben’s Ford Christian School serving students in the cafeteria, where she was loved by all.
The family would like to thank Bedford Care Center of Picayune, HMP Nursing of Hattiesburg, and Enhabit Hospice. Services will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa on Friday, April 3, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider sponsoring a Ben’s Ford Baptist Church youth member for Youth Arise Camp, https://bensfordbc.com.
