Heaven has gained a precious soul. Sis. Gipson has always been such a sweet and gracious lady! Praying for Bro. Gipson and family.
I met Sis. Gipson and her family when I was too young to remember meeting them. It was in Lakeland Florida in 1959 when Bro. Gipson and my father were both attending seminary. They quickly became close family friends. I grew up calling them Uncle Marlin and Aunt Nita. We lived near them in Florida, California, and Alabama. I also lived near them when I was in the Air Force in Biloxi, MS. They lived in Gulfport and most weekends I was in their home.
She will always be "Aunt Nita" to me. She was a strong and supportive influence to both family and friends. She loved the Lord, his churches, gospel music, extra long spaghetti, and spending time with those she loved. They were a family of three but there were often two, three or four times that many people at their table on Sunday afternoon.
I pray for her family and friends and I know we will see her again in eternity.

What a great lady. I well remember the times we would meet at ABA meetings and enjoy our fellowship. A rose has been added to the bouquet of God's kingdom. Prayers for Bro. Marlin.
