Mrs. Mildred Oxner Samford's Obituary
Mildred Oxner Samford was born on August 30, 1944, in Columbia Mississippi, and later relocated to Bogalusa where she lived for most of her life. Mildred, affectionately known as Granny to those who know her passed away peacefully at her home on April 24, 2021.
She is survived by : her five children: Janice (Ed) Netto of Mobile, Al., Jody (Pam) Samford of Mobile, Al., Buffy (Wayne) Mizell of Bogalusa, La., Tonya Stage (Boyd Jones) of Bogalusa, La., and Beverly (Rafael) Trevino of Conroe Tx; two brothers David (Virginia) Oxner of Foxworth, Ms, and Eddie (Cindy) Oxner of Foxworth, Ms; one sister Edna Jo Nicholson of Goss, Ms; 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren with 2 on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by : her husband David “Jinx” Samford, her parents John “Samp” and Mariam “Sister” Oxner; five brothers: Lindell Oxner, Wendell Oxner, Jesse “Polly” Oxner, Jack Oxner, and Johnny Oxner; and one sister Abby Gail Oxner and one great grandson Josiah Stage.
Officiating services will be Bro. Larry Lassley.
