Mr. Michael "Mike" Hope's Obituary
Michael “Mike” Eugene Hope, age 76, passed away September 28, 2025, in Bogalusa, LA. Mike was a career-long cook on offshore oil rigs in the gulf until his retirement. When he was not on an oil rig, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading, and cooking, even once he was home.
He is survived by two brothers: Allan Joseph Hope (Joyce) of Daphne, AL, and James Marvin Hope of Weaverville, CA; and one niece: Tracie Stroud (Michael) of Shreveport, LA.
Mike was preceded in death by his father: Joseph Brown Hope; his mother: Emily Hope Hill; and his step-father: Onice “Red” Hill.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements.
