Mrs. Maria Taylor's Obituary
Mrs. Maria Elena Taylor, "Helen, Mom, Grandma & GG, Sis, and Aunt", born January 8, 1946, lost her battle to cancer peacefully on November 21, 2024, in Bogalusa, LA, at the age of 78. Mrs. Taylor was known for her motherly instinct to everyone she met. She loved plants & gardening. She was employed at Schilling Greenhouse for the last 19 years. She was compassionate, loving, a hard worker, and known for her remarkable foot prints and memories she left behind. Mrs. Taylor never met a stranger. She would adopt any and all that confided in her that loved her and stayed by her side through these trial times. Pastor Jeremy Buras will officiate the service.
She is survived by her five living children and their spouses: Patricia Buras, Tony and Melissa Taylor, David and Daisy Taylor, Carolyn Spitzfaden, and Robert Taylor; multiple brothers and sisters; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Dwain Taylor; her youngest son: Noel D. Taylor; and her granddaughter: Lauren Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, she requested memorial donations made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. Arrangements were set up by Patricia Buras for Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home located at 610 Ave F, Bogalusa, LA. Visitation will start at 10AM until time of service at 2PM.
