Louise Maxine White, 89, a resident of Bogalusa, departed this life Friday, March 15, 2013, at Resthaven Living Center in Bogalusa.
A native of Angie, she was born on Jan. 2, 1924, and was a member of Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Gene J. (Jane) Courtright of Essex Junction, Vt., and Paul E. Courtright of DeRidder; two daughters, Patricia L. (Michael) Jenkins of Isabel and Reba R. (Montie) Saucier of Lumberton, Miss.; one daughter-in-law, Phylis Courtright of Sulphur; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Breland of Sandy Hook, Miss.; and three stepsons, Terry White, Tim White and Till White, all of Crossroads, Miss.
She was preceded in death by one son, Arnold D. Courtright; her parents, Ina and Dewitt Alford; two sisters, Zelda Fortenberry and Mary Alice Bennett; one brother, Bruce Alford; her first husband, Benjamin Frank Courtright; and her second husband, Earl White.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 17 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m., continuing on Monday from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Marcus Rosa officiating. Burial will follow at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa.
