Lillie Mae Jones' Obituary
Lillie Mae Jones a native of Washington Parish, born August 16,1929 passed away at St. Tammany Hospital on July 30, 2011. Ms. Jones attained an Associate degree in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. She retired from nursing at St. Tammany Hospital after serving there for 35 years.
She is survived by a son Mike(Konnie) Crain of Varnado, La. , One daughter Darlene Crain of Bogalusa. Two Grandchildren Jason(Michelle)Lumpkin of Bogalusa, and Leigh Anne(Jon)Kittrell of Hattiesburg MS.Two step Grandchildren Kyle and Jamie Burkhalter.FiveGreat Grandchildren Kayla,Kassie,and Madilyn Lumpkin, and Madison,Ann Marie Kittrell. Two step-great Grandchildren Jena Burkhalter and Skylar Tulion. Also a special Niece Mary Lee McKenzie and two Special friends Liz Mitchell and Nell Blackmon.
She was Preceded in death by parents George(Shade)& Nancy Pierce, Husbands Elmo Crain and Alton Jones,One son Richard Darl(Ricky) Crain, seven brothers Leonard,James, George, Jessie, Melvin, Hilton, and RJ(Junior) Pierce.Two sisters Alma Ivy and Velma Singley.
She was a long time member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday Aug. 2, 2011 in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Home Rev. Donnie Broom and Rev. Jon Kittrell officiating.. Interment will follow in the Rester Cemetery at Varnado,La.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5:00 P.M until 9:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 8:00A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.
