Joseph "Joe" Jones' Obituary
Joseph "Joe" Jones born February 7, 1937 passed away peacefully at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Franklinton, La. at the age of 80. Joe was a auto mechanic and had his own business in Bogalusa for many years rebuilding alternators and starters. Joe was a native of Bogalusa and was of the Baptist faith.
He leaves behind a son, Ronald Joseph Jones of Franklinton, 3 daughters, Doris Faye Valdez Wascom and her husband Bo, Veda Thomas and her husband Terry of Sandy Hook, MS. And Pat Stringer and her husband Keith of Foxworth, MS., a brother Coy Jones and his wife Elaine of Bogalusa, 5 , step-children, Walter Green, Johnny Green, Ricky Green, Ann Green and Janice Green, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Boutwell Jones, a brother, J D Jones, 5 sisters Joyce Wright, Lena Netto, Bobbie Jean Blackburn, Nevie Newman and Sylvia Brown, 2 step-children, Joe Green and Bennie Homer Green
Visitation will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Friday June 16, 2017 beginning at 10:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.. Services will be conducted by Rev. Pete Underwood with cremation to follow.
