Mr. John Singley's Obituary
John E. Singley, a resident of Bogalusa, went to his Heavenly home September 15, 2024, at the age of 83.
Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife and companion of 59 years, Joyce Dillon Singley. He was blessed with two loving children, Kevin Singley and Summer Singley, also a wonderful daughter-in-law, Kayce Singley. J.E. cherished his only granddaughter, Katelyn Singley (Sawyer Sandifer). He is also survived by three special sister-in-laws, Melb Scoggin (Ed Boos), Jan Adams (Peter Sladovich), Vivian Dillon, and was very proud of his nephew, Trevor Dillon.
J.E. was preceded in death by brother-in-laws, Denny Ray Dillon, Eddie B. Scoggin, John H. Adams, Donald Dillon, and Donald Knight; sister-in-laws, Delorise Knight and Elaine Dillon; and two nephews: Darren Knight and Dustin Dillon.
He left footprints in the hearts of many beloved friends who shared his love of classic cars as well as his fellow co-workers at the Bogalusa Paper Mill. J.E.’s life was marked by love, generosity, and an unwavering spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him. He served proudly with honor in the United States Army Reserve for many years and was a member of American Legion Post #24.

Pallbearers will be Ed Boos, Peter Sladovich, Trevor Dillon, Aaron Middleton, Danny Knight, Carmon Costello, and Marvin Creel.
Visitation will be from 12pm to 1pm at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home with funeral service starting at 1pm, Wednesday, September 18, 2024.
