Mr. James Franklin Thames' Obituary
On December 8, 2021, Mr. James Franklin Thames, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family. Mr. Thames was born in Bogue Chitto, Mississippi, but raised in Bogalusa, Louisiana. He was a proud veteran of the Army National Guard and the United States Air Force. He attended Belle Fontaine Baptist Church, but was a member at North Gautier Baptist Church.
Mr. Thames is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mrs. Martha Rae Ellis Thames; two grandchildren: Curtis (Amanda) Heck and Christy Gomillion; three great-grandchildren; one sister: Clara Faye (Billy) Graham; a sister-in-law: Gloria (Ronald) Breeding; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Easterling; his parents: Robert and Mary Ethel Thames; one grandson: Robbie Heck; two brothers: Hugh Thames and Kenneth Thames; and two sisters: Rita Hall and Jeanette Rester.
