James E. Simmons' Obituary
James E. Simmons age 93, passed away October 5, 2016 at Resthaven Living Center here in Bogalusa. He was a resident of Franklinton, member of Light House Pentecostal Church, and US Army veteran serving in WW II.
He is survived by on son James Edward "Joe" Simmons of Franklinton, two daughters, Jean Carolyn Simmons Warren of Sheridan La, Joyce Elizabeth Simmons Creel of Bogalusa La.
Eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Juanita Simmons, parents, LT and Annie Simmons, brothers Ezra Jodie Simmons, Estus Pete Simmons, Noha Lloyd Simmons and George Simmons, sisters Ethel Simmons Hinnesey and Fannie Lee Simmons Foil.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Saturday Oct 8, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Simmons Lang Cemetery at Sheridan. Rev. Charles ray Creel and Rev. Darryl Hargraves will officiate.
