I grew up with Herndon always being another family member. I know the close bond with the Stafford family was always felt. I'm so sorry I can't make it back for the funeral and I know Daddy, Hubert Mizell, regrets not being there too. We will always remember the never ending stories of all the Ben's Ford boys growing up and hearing what trouble were they getting into. He was a wonderful, loving person.
It was an honor and a privilege to know Herndon. He was a loving family man who cared for his friends and family and made everybody who knew him feel loved and wanted. He was always eager to share his experiences and enjoyed getting to know others and make them feel at home. He was a proud veteran who served our country honorably and bravely. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a good story teller. He will be missed by all and leaves behind a legacy to be shared by all. We will miss him dearly !!
Prayers of comfort for your family. Herndon was a special person that will be missed by everyone.
Herndon was a good man, he loved his family and will be missed by all, Jill & Brenda and boys my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Brenda and Jill,so sorry to hear of Herdon's passing. We all had so many wondetful times on Lehleitner trips and Friday night seafood trecks to Abbeyville. Who could not fall in love with Herdon Branton with that personality that was bigger than life. So many wonderful memories Brenda. You were the light of his life. May the Good Lord wrap his loving arms around you and his family giving you comfort and peace.
Haven't seen you since Dale Carnegie course you conducted in 1967 in New Orleans. Travel easy old friend.
God bless you all during this time of loss.
Brenda, Jill, Trevor, Tyler: We just wanted to let you know that we are praying for you now and the days to come. Herndon always had a smile and a warm greeting. We all will miss him but we know that he is in the arms of God now and we will see each other again someday.
