Herbert Winston Taylor, Sr.'s Obituary
Herbert Winston Taylor Sr. departed this life Thursday September 13, 2012 at his home in Bush La at the age of 74. He was surrounded by his family. He was a native of Bush La. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Ross" Taylor, his mother Lela Mae Taylor Creel, sons-in-law, Thomas Wood Sr., Thomas Hayes, Larry "Dusty" Files and grandson, Albert "Bert" Stanley.
He is survived by his loving wife Earlene Ragan Taylor, brother, William "Red" Taylor. Son Herbert Winston Taylor Jr. and "Vickie" of Bush La. Five daughters; Liz Files and Daphne of Bush La. Gwen "Donavan" Harriel, of Poplarville Ms, Tammy and "Larry" Thomas of Independence, MO, and Toni and "Lynn" Wilson of DeValls Bluff, AR. He was a loving grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many other loved ones and friends. He was a devoted and former pastor of Church of Christ "Restored" in Bush, La.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home Friday September 14, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday September 15, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Holmes Cemetery, Talisheek La. Rev. Roger Mitchell, Rev. Rabb Stewart, and Rev. Larry Thomas will officiate.
