Helen L. Magee Knight's Obituary
Helen L. Magee Knight "Our Matriarch" entered her heavenly home on April 10, 2016 at the age of 94. Helen was lovingly known as "Granny' was born February 1, 1922 to John David and Nancy Jeanette King Magee in Bogalusa. She was the heart and soul of our family. She was a Loving Mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, great-great grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and extended family that loved her so dearly.
She leaves behind one daughter, Linda Knight (Billy Wayne) Martin of Lumberton, MS., five sons, Dennis (Sue) Knight of Independence, La., Willis (Marilyn) Knight and Kenneth (Stephanie) Kight both of Poplarville, MS., Jery (Vicky) Knight of Picayune, MS., and Calvin Knight of Lumberton, MS., two sisters, Vernell Evans of Zachary, La. and Mildred Graves of Otis, La., 24 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, 14 graet-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Malcom Knight, two sons, Lavelle M. Knight and Ralph E. Knight, one sister, Jessie Bateman, two brothers, Claude and Albert Magee and daughter-in-law, Patricia "Pat" Knight.
Visitation will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Tuesday April 12, 2016 beginning at 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and will resume Wednesday April 13, 2016 after 8:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow in the Magee Cemetery located on Wilson Magee Rd here in Bogalusa.
