Mrs. Helen June Fontenot's Obituary
On July 31, 2022, Mrs. Helen June Martin Fontenot passed away at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa, LA. Mrs. Fontenot was a dedicated member of New Life Pentecostal Church in Bogalusa for 18 years. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, embroidering, and crocheting. Standing alongside her beloved, late husband, they ministered at Golden Meadow Pentecostal Church and Livingston Pentecostal Church for several years.
Mrs. Fontenot is survived by two sons: David “Mike” (Kim) Fontenot and Daniel “Danny” (Karen) Fontenot; eight grandchildren: Chris Fontenot, Cassady Hickingbottom, April Hallinan, Kandi Nicholson, Autumn Fontenot, Colby Fontenot, Taylor Fontenot, and Kayla Fontenot; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a brother: Gilbert T. Martin Jr. (Tom); one daughter-in-law: Terry Fontenot; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. James “Jim Boy” Fontenot; two sons: Donald Wayne Fontenot and Darryl “Marty” Fontenot; her parents: Gilbert and Flora Martin; one brother: Kenneth Martin; and two sisters: Lola Custer and Carmen Russell.
