Mr. Haspel Richardson Stewart's Obituary
Haspel Richardson Stewart was born May 21, 1933, in Bogalusa, LA, and passed away on May 24, 2022, in Wilmer, LA. Mr. Stewart was a former resident of Bogalusa, LA, where he attended Bogalusa High School and a current resident of Wilmer, LA. He was married to the late Mrs. Margie Ann Miller Stewart for 62 years.
He is survived by his daughter: Debra Stewart Purvis; one grandson: Jacob Purvis; a brother: Robert Stewart and his wife, Larissa, of Bogalusa, LA; one sister: Peggy Stewart of Bogalusa, LA; a sister-in-law: Ping Stewart of Hammond, LA; four nieces: Sheryl Stewart Slaven and husband, Scott Slaven, Kimberly Stewart, Amy Stewart, and Melissa Stewart; three nephews: Marty Stewart, Bryan Stewart, and Scott Stewart; and a host of friends.
Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his loving wife: Mrs. Margie Ann Miller Stewart; his parents: James S. Stewart and Ruby Louise Henley; two brothers: James Sidney Stewart and Jim Stewart, Jr.; and his grandparents: Martin Stewart and Mittie Mitchell Stewart.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with the final arrangements. On Saturday, May 28, 2022, visitation will be held in the chapel of the funeral home from 10AM until time of service at 12PM. Interment will immediately follow at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery.
