Gussie Tynes, Sr's Obituary
Gussie Tynes Sr. born August 14, 1931 passed away September 27, 2013 at his residence at the age of 82. He was retired from Gaylord Container , Box Plant Division and was a veteran of the Korean War .He was also a member of the Church of United Faith Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by 4 sons Gussie Paul(Margie)Tynes Jr. of Poplarville, MS., Otha Allen(Jena)Tynes of Rogers, AR., Julius Walter Tynes and "Country" Rendell Tynes both of Bogalusa, 2 daughters Romona(Jackie)Rogers and Princess KatieTynes of Bogalusa, a brother Otha Tynes Jr. of Poplarville MS., 3 sisters Verena Swilling and Annette Welsh both of Mobile, Alabama, and Mary Williams of Jackson, MS., 9 grandchildren , 7 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by parents Otha Sr.and Cecilia Tynes,his wife Irene Tynes, a son Christopher Scott Tynes, a brother Warren Tynes, 2 sisters Pauline Polk and Tudell Tynes.
Visitation will be at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Sunday September 29, 2013 beginning at 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and will resume Monday after 8:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Charles Warren and Rev. Kirk Hoelzel conducting the services with the Interment following at Pounds Cemetery.
American Legion Post #24 will provide Military Honors .
