Mr. Gordon Trent Starks' Obituary
Gordon “Trent” Starks, 57, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington, LA., surrounded by his family. Trent’s passions were camping, cooking, and grilling. He especially loved cooking on an open flame with his favorite little sidekick, Milo. He loved gathering and spending time with his family and friends and was well-known as the life of the party. He was also an avid collector of model trains.
Trent is survived by his loving wife of 25 years: Mrs. Vanessa Rose Starks; one aunt: Patricia Pierce Wilson; two cousins: Donna June Wilson and LeeAnn Prisk; two mothers-in-laws: Lois Craft and Patricia Patterson; four brother-in-laws: Michael (Sharon) Bishop, Joe Phelps, Richard Patterson and Michael (Tammy) Parker; seven sister-in-laws: Regina Hayes, Ashley (Mack) Cook, Kori Bell, Kristi (Matt) Stewart, Kim Miller, Marie Phelps, and Evie Patterson; and two special little girls: Mollie and Maddie Lumpkin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Trent is preceded in death by his parents: Phyllis Pierce Starks and Donald Gordon Starks; grandparents: Jessie Pierce and Dorothy Williams Pierce; and an uncle: Kenneth M. Wilson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown-McGehee Funeral Home. Services will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, Bogalusa, LA. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until service time at 3:00 PM. The service will be led by Brother Kelly Penton and Elder Duane Ball. Interment immediately following at Seal Cemetery in Varnado, LA.
