Mrs. Geraldine Carroll Boone's Obituary
Mrs. Geraldine Octavia Carroll Boone, 89, a longtime resident of Washington Parish, passed away August 2,2024. She graduated from Bogalusa High School, and later graduated Cosmetology in 1978. She owned her own beauty shop, and later retired from Crown Zellerbach (Bogalusa factory) as a lineworker. She then focused her life on her children and her husband of many years, the late, Mr. Lawrence Boone. She was a member of Union Avenue Baptist Church for many years, but attended Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church before her health began declining.
She is survived by a son: Claude Herby Creel (Pamela); one daughter: Donna Nielsen; one brother: Ed Carroll (Elaine); two sisters: Brenda Ard (Laverne) and Nellie Gerald; four grandchildren: Emily Nielsen Sharp, Vincent “Bubby” Creel, Paul Williams (Kesha), and Melinda Fitzmorris; great-grandchildren: Dillon Stafford, Jared Stafford, Matthew Nielsen, Brittany Bourgoyne, Blake Nielsen, Joseph Sharp Jr., Abby Creel, Lauren Ramos, Jase Creel, Dakota Williams, Kristina Williams; and great-great grandchildren: Oakley Sharp, Martin Nielsen, Airabella Venezia, Annabelle Venezia, Hazel Freeman, and Remi-Kate Bourgoyne; and along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other friends and family.
She is preceded in death by: her husband: Lawrence Boone; father: James Quincy Carroll; mother: Esma Carroll; one sister: Mildred Hillhouse; a brother: Sidney Carroll; a granddaughter: Karen Nielsen: and one grandson: Christopher Creel.
