Eva Slocum Gerald Nobles' Obituary
EVA SLOCUM GERALD NOBLES age 94, a lifelong resident of Pine, passed away November 30, 2012 at St. Clare Manor Nursing Home, Baton Rouge, LA.
She was born July 2, 1918 to James and Mae Freeman Slocum in Washington Parish.
She was a loving wife, Mother and Grandmother and a lifetime member of Pine Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son and daughters and their spouses, James G. Gerald (Dee); Virginia Pace Breland (Jay); Wilda Faye Feddeck (Richard); Sherri Lynn Hayden (Richard). Grand children and spouses, Darryl D. Pace; Sondra Pace Ervin; Sandra G. Clark (Dr. Paul); Steven J. Gerald; Erin H. Smith(Dr. Field); Dr. Meghan Hayden. Step-sons and their spouses, Earl Ray Nobles (Phyllis); Stanley Nobles (Carol) and their children and grandchildren.
She is also survived by her Great Grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husbands Lawson Gerald and Benton G. Nobles and brothers Jesse, Devon and James Leo Slocum; sisters Bessie Gerald, Viola Wyman and Gladys McKenzie.
She is survived by one brother, Wilbur Slocum and sisters Leona Crain and Edna Nobles.
Visitation shall be from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Brown McGehee Funeral Home, Bogalusa, LA. and from 1 PM until 2 PM on Sunday, December 2, 2012 @ Pine Missionary Baptist Church with services immediately following officiated by Elder Brent King. Internment at Pine Community Cemetery.
