Eugene Blackwell's Obituary
Eugene Blackwell born February 17,1917 passed away October 1, 2012 passed away at Oschner Hospital in New Orleans at age of 95. He was a long time resident of Bogalusa and a member of Palestine Baptist Church. Eugene was retired from the U.S. Army and a Mason.
He is survived by his wife Anna Lee Byrd Blackwell, two daughters Brenda Blackwell Parrino of Rome, Ga., Dixie Blackwell of Woodstock, Ga., three sisters Anna Ruth Perry, Ellen Estelle Talley and Jesse Patricia Pierce all of Sun, La., three Grandchildren and six Great-Grandchildren and a host of Nieces and Nephews and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Lenora Blackwell, brothers Charles Blackwell,Glen Blackwell and Walter Blackwell, sisters Leona Mitchell and Betty Louise Blackwell.
Graveside services were conducted Wednesday October 3, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Rhuble-Pierce Cemetery with Rev. Fred Brumfield conducting the services.
