Mrs. Estelle Stewart's Obituary
Mrs. Estelle Wilson Stewart passed away peacefully at her home in Bogalusa, LA., on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at the age of 100. Born on March 11, 1919, in Hattiesburg, MS., she was a long-time resident of Bogalusa, LA. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Bogalusa, LA., where she loved attending with her sister, Elouise Mizell. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and making red-velvet cakes.
She is survived by her four sons, Stanley Stewart (Fonda) of Texas, Aubrey Stewart, Jr. (Diane) of Bogalusa, Howard G. Stewart (Faye) of Bogalusa, LA., and David Earl Stewart of Texas; and one daughter, Sissy Stewart Rector of Bogalusa. Mrs. Estelle is also loved by 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 4 great great- grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-seven years, Aubrey “Cotton” Stewart, Sr.; her parents Joshua H. Wilson and Mae Sumrall Wilson; two brothers, Jay Howard Wilson and Herbert “Buttermilk” Wilson; four sisters, Maude Burdeaux, Ollie Mae Stewart, Elouise Mizell, and Dorothy Adams.
Officiating will be Brother Travis Houston and Brother Lynn Martin.
Pallbearers will include Trampus Stewart, Blaine Stewart, Joshua Stewart, Zachary Bates, Kyle Stewart, and Raymond Giacone.
