Mrs. Elda Pellegrin's Obituary
On October 10, 2023, Elda Elizabeth Pellegrin, passed away at her home surrounded by her family. Born on October 26, 1945, in New Orleans and raised in Bucktown, La., but spent most of her adult life in Covington, La. Mrs. Elda Elizabeth loved to play cards and various other table games. She loved to dance and spend time with her grandchildren. She attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Covington, LA.
She is survived by three children: Don Ray (Sandra) Pellegrin Jr., Karen Elizabeth Pellegrin, and Charles Gary Pellegrin (Michelle), Sr.; several grandchildren: Lonnie Nolan Jr., Joshua Nolan, Charles Pellegrin, Jr., Gianna Marie Pellegrin, Christopher Pellegrin, Ryan Pellegrin, Gretchen Achee, Haliegh Houston, Genevieve Aljabi; and numerous great-grandchildren. Elda Elizabeth is also survived by 5 brothers and 3 sisters: Dennis, L.J., Louis, Joe, Johnny, Audrey, and Lillian, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members; and a plethora of friends!
Mrs. Elda was preceded in death by her husband: Don Ray Pellegrin Sr.; her parents: Lester and Elizabeth Barbazon; a granddaughter: Amy Elizabeth Nolan; and one sister: Margette Smith.
A special thanks to Ronald Pellegrin for sharing his unwavering love and time in his Aunt Elda’s last days of need. Also, a special thanks to Passages Hospice and her nurses: Karen, Barry, and Mrs. Liz, for the care they gave.
Celebration of life will be held at Oak Meadows Lodge 73433 Oliver Street Abita Springs, La. 70421 on November 4, 2023, from 10:00 am till 4:00 p.m.
