Mr. Duel Jenkins' Obituary
Duel Jenkins passed away on November 27, 2024, at Oschner’s Hospital in New Orleans. Duel was a life-long resident of Bogalusa, LA. He was well-known for his love of restoring tractors and the love he had for his children, family, and friends.
Duel is survived by his wife: Donna Warner Jenkins; one son: Adam Scott Jenkins; a step-son: Justin Messina; three grandchildren: Nathaniel Miller, Christian Miller, and Tristian Miller; his mother: Virginia Hunt Spencer; one brother: Chuck Jenkins (Carol); step-mother: Juanita Jenkins; three nieces: Kaylie Whittington (James), Samantha Farlow, and Lisa Knight; and a nephew: Chuck Jenkins, Jr. (Ariana).
He was preceded in death by his father: H.C. Jenkins; a step-father: Billy Joe Spencer; his grandparents: Malachi and Alma Newman Hunt and Charles and Gertrude Jenkins; and his mother-in-law: Lydia “Liz” Mitchell.
Active Pallbearers are as follows: Justin Messina, Ryan Loyd, Ricky Ladner, James Whittington, Chuck Jenkins, Jr., and Gary Roach.
Honorary Pallbearers are Scott Jenkins, Greg Slaughter, and Kelton Johnson.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation will start Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at First Church in Bogalusa, at 10AM until time of service at 1PM. Pastor Travis Houston and Bro. David will officiate services. Interment will immediately follow at Jenkins Cemetery.
