Mr. Donald "Don" Holloway's Obituary
Donald “Don” Holloway, age 91, passed away peacefully March 4, 2026, at Lakeview Hospital surrounded by his family. Don was born and raised in Bogalusa, where he chose to start his own family and raise his children. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and an electrician by trade. As a wonderful family provider, he dedicated over forty years of his life to the Bogalusa Papermill before eventually retiring. Don was a loving husband and father, but his love for his grandchildren shined bright for the world to see. You could always find him fishing, hunting, or enjoying a motorcycle ride on a beautiful day.
He was survived by his devoted wife of sixty-two years: Mrs. Carol Walters Holloway; one son: Matt Holloway; a daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer and Jimmy Adams; six beloved grandchildren: Hannah Adams, Sarah Beth Adams, Leigha Thibodeaux (Gabe), Lauren Wheat McDaniel, Dustin Holloway, and Andrew Holloway; three great-grandchildren: Caroline McDaniel, Wyatt McDaniel, and Jaden Nixon; a brother: Roger Holloway (Barbara); one sister: Deedee Pusa; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents: Wilmer and Maude Holloway; a daughter: Regina Holloway Wheat; five brothers: Rickey Holloway, Wayne Holloway, Gerald Pete Holloway, Steven Holloway, and Gary Holloway; and six sisters: Sharon Kay Lott, Virginia Dale Boler, Debbie Blackburn, Gloria Jo Holloway, Jean Crews, and Patricia Vigil.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home proudly serves the Holloway Family. Visitation will start in the funeral home chapel Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 10AM until time of service at 1PM.
