Dollie Holden Norman's Obituary
Dollie Holden Norman born June 12, 1919 passed into eternal peace on Friday May 3, 2013 at the age of 93. Although a resident of the Friendswood/Alvin, Texas area for the past several years, she always called Bogalusa home.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory sons Francis "Boots" Norman and Bill Norman both of Bogalusa, Leon "Benny"(Pat) Norman of Morganstown MS., daughters Wilda(Harold)Thompson of Pleasant Hill, MO., Glenda(Larry)Ikerd of Pine,La.,and Anna(Rodger)Moravitz of Alvin, Texas, numerous grand and great grandchildren(each of which was her favorite), and 1 great-great grandchild who put a huge smile on her face, and also numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Matilda Holden, husband Howard Leon Norman, 2 sons Jessie and Joe Norman, 1 grandchild Steve Norman, 2 brothers Joe and Fred Holden and 3 sisters Margaret Auer, Agnes Busby, and Ruth Clarke.
Visitation will be at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Tuesday May 7, 2013 beginning at 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and will resume after 8:00 A.M. Wednesday until service time at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Mike Mitchell will officiate the services and the Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery here in Bogalusa.
Pallbearers will be Russell Sackett, Mike Fowler, David Barta, Sean Jones, Jimmy Thompson, and Gary Ikerd Jr.
