David Ernest McClendon, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida at the age of 50. He was a native of Bogalusa, LA, and life-long resident of Bogalusa, LA.
David was survived by: one son, David “D.J.” Ernest McClendon, Jr. of Bogalusa, LA; one daughter Mariah King of Hammond, LA; his father and step-mother Ernest and Eleanor McClendon of Lumberton, MS; two brothers, Billy (Tia) Holtzclaw of Tampa, FL and Kyle McClendon of Houston, TX; five sisters, Betty (Robbie) Baggett of Sumrall, MS, Wendy Powell of Bogalusa, LA, Lori Holtzclaw of LaCombe, LA, Julia “JuJu” Knight of Angie, LA, and Ryan (Stephen) Kaiser of Fort Meade MD; two aunts, Polly McClendon and Katherine Miller, both of Bogalusa, LA. David was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
David is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Linda and Bill Holtzclaw.
