Mr. Clinton Daniel Hathorne's Obituary
Clinton Daniel Hathorne, age 81, of Sun, Louisiana, passed away peacefully April 1, 2025.
He was born to the late Clinton and Mary Ruth Hathorne and lived a life defined by service, dedication, and a deep love for his family. Clinton proudly served in the Army National Guard and went on to have a 30-year career in law enforcement, where he was respected for his commitment and integrity.
Clinton is survived by his loving children, one son: Danny Ray (Dee) Hathorne; two daughters: Deanna Denise Hathorne (Steve Sanford) and Melissa Hathorne; and his step-son: Steven Roady. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Joshua Hathorne, Skyler (Caitlynn) Saucier, Austin (Karen) Reininger, Holden Saucier, Kenzie (Tyler) Martin, Anjalina Grimaudo, Aayden Springfield, and Braelynn Sandifer. He was a proud great-grandfather to Grant Saucier, Blake Saucier, Makayla Hathorne, and Clinton Martin. He was also survived by one sister: Merita Hathorne, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 37 years: Sara Hathorne; one son: Clinton Daniel Hathorne, Jr.; his parents: Clinton and Mary Ruth Hathorne; and three siblings: MyraNell Pounds, Janie Creel, and Paul Hathorne.
Clinton enjoyed spending his time golfing, fishing, and hunting-activities that brought him peace and happiness. He will also be remembered for his playful spirit and love of joking with family and friends, always bringing laughter to those around him.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home proudly serves the Hathorne Family. Friday, April 3, 2026, the B.C. Hall will open at 11AM with military honors being rendered at 11:30 A.M. with a memorial service to immediately follow led by Bro. Billy Galloway. After the memorial service, a Celebration of Life will continue until 2PM.
