Ms. Cheryl Chastant Rogers' Obituary
Cheryl Chastant Rogers, age 63, passed away at her home in Bogalusa, LA. Cheryl was a life-long resident of Bogalusa where she worked as a teacher’s assistant at the Head Start. She loved her nieces and nephews, but as they grew-up to become adults, she found a love for cats.
Cheryl is survived by one brother: Claude Chastant, Jr. and his wife, Linda; a sister: Charmayne Hayman; one aunt: Elsie Freeman; one nephew: Trey Hayman; four nieces: Tabitha Chastant Steele, Tanda Chastant Young, Shelby Chastant Temples, and Sunny Chastant; numerous great-nephews and great-nieces; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Claude and Opal Chastant, Sr.; and one brother: Walter Chastant.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. A graveside service will be held for family and friends Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 11AM in Ponemah Cemetery. Pastor David Steele will officiate graveside.
