Carl Fornea, Jr.'s Obituary
Carl Fornea Jr. passed away July 14, 2013 at his home in Varnado La. , surrounded by his large family. He was a very special person, always there to help anyone that needed him and will be missed very much. Our lives will never be the same without him. He was born May 19, 1943 to his parents Carl and Gladys Fornea. He spent his whole life in Varnado.
He was married to the love of his life Patsy Stafford Fornea 52 years ago and graduated from Varnado High School in 1961.
They had four children, Carl (Faye) Fornea III, Suzi (Mark) Kennedy, Steven Fornea and Caroline Marie Fornea who passed away at the age of 8. Six grandchildren, Jason Tara (Tara) Fornea, Terry (Mike) Blackwell, Carl (Macey) Fornea VI, Jonathan Fornea, Kristina (David) Kennedy, and Alaina Kennedy all of varnado La. Five great-grandchildren, Skylar Blackwell, Jaden Fornea, Jaylee Fornea and Ryan Ard. Sisters and brothers-in-laws Janice Freeman bert and Ben hartzog, Jessie (George) Jones, Rosa Carrier, and Kathy (Willie) Jordan.
He was also survived by lots of nieces nephews other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Carline Fornea, His parents Carl and Galdys Fornea, brother Gene Fornea, sister margrette Freeman and brothers-inlaws Billy Fay Freeman and and Ray Jordan, Murle Carrier, Willmon Freeman and Charles Stafford.
He worked at the Box factory for many years and was an employee of Bogalusa Iron Works for several years, He was owner of Fornea and Sons Trucking for 33 years. He also served as assistant chief of police in Varnado for several years serving with his best friend Floyd Hobgood. He also served as fire chief with the fire dept of several years.
Visitation will be held in tha chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral home Tuesday from $ pm until 10 pm. Services will be held in the chapel on Wednesday July 17, 2013 at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Freeman Cemetery in Varnado La. Rev. Karl Wood, Rev. Dave Diamond and Rev. Chad Jenkins will officiate. Pallbearers include Chris Jones Benji Hortzog,Patrick Collins,Jim Freeman, Brian Dunn and Dylan Jordan, Tom Freeman and Johnny Bria. Honorary Pallbearers include Leroy Slick Seals, George Jones, Ben Hartzog, Willie Jordan, his nephews Tommy Freeman Wayne Freeman Will Freeman Billy Ray Freeman Jr. Scooter Jordan,Tim Dillon, Lewis Adams
