Mr. Arthur Rester's Obituary
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered “come to me.” A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best.
Arthur Ray Rester 66 a life long resident of Varnado, passed away on October 21 after a tough battle with liver cancer surrounded by his loving family.
Arthur was born on October 11, 1954 to the late Thomas Arthur Rester and Virgie Lee Davis/Rester. Arthur was a painter by trade, but worked in a numerous related fields. He loved to play his harmonica, guitar and sing the blues. Some might even say he was a rolling stone, he lived a life he loved.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son Tommy “Chrissy" Rester, his daughters Tiffany Rester and Melissa Sheridan, his grandchildren TJ, Emma, Sarah, Jordan, Nathan “Harley" and one great grandchild Finley, his sisters Diane Sanders, Tammy Creel, Jane Creel Jennette Polezack and his brother Charles Rester, his spouse and love of his life Sheila Sharp and numerous nieces and nephews
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Zachary Alexander Rester and Nancy Jane Knight, maternal grandparents Lawson Davis and Ina May Mitchell Davis, his son Brandon Adam Rester, granddaughter Sara Elizabeth Sheridan, his brothers Herbert Rester, David Rester, Jerry Rester, Richard Rester, Tommy Rester.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for contributions.
Pallbearers will be Ray Head, Danny Munizza, Hubert Penton, Herbert "Goat" Penton, Ray Halk, Ben Samford
