Alyida Jeanette Davis' Obituary
Alyida Jeanette Davis, 73, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at LSU Bogalusa Medical Center. She was a resident of Bogalusa and a member of Crossroads Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Kathi) Davis of Poplarville Miss. and David Davis of Florida; one daughter, Annette Davis of Bogalusa; grandchildren, Anna and Ricky Falgout, Bobby Joe Davis, Summer and Troy Hartzog, Josh Short and Autumn Dykes; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Alton Joe Davis; a son, Robert Davis; her parents, Kelly and Myrtle Penton; brothers, Mike Penton and Lavell Hutchinson; sisters, Artie F. Dudley and Opel Helton; and grandson, Nicholas Short.
Visitation was held Thursday, April 7 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m., and continues on Friday from 8 a.m. until time for services at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Kelly Penton and Rev. Kevin Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in Crossroads Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
