Mr Albert William Crawford Sr.'s Obituary
Albert William Crawford Sr. was born on December 8, 1940 in Independence, LA to Howard and Genoa Crawford. He was the first child of four. He married the love of his life, Jane Ann Reyer Crawford, on November 28, 1964 at Warren Street Church of God in Bogalusa, LA. Albert loved life; but more than anything, he loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Albert graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1958. He then went on to join the United Staes Air Force. During the Cold War he was stationed over seas in Istanbul, Turkey where his job was to intercept messages from foreign countries. In 1962 he was honorably discharged and came home to the city of Bogalusa where he met his wife, Jane Ann, of 54 years. He then started his career of 38 years with the United States Postal Service. He has worked at the post offices of Bogalusa, Bush, Sun, Franklinton and finished his career as the head Post Master of Angie, LA.
He is preceded in death by his son Michael Glen Crawford; his parents Howard and Genoa Crawford; aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.
He is survived by his wife Jane Ann Reyer Crawford; his children Albert Jr. (Becky) Crawford and Tim (Becky) Crawford; grandchildren Jonathan (Shan) Simmons, Vicki Magee, Bryanna (Drue) Sprehe, Emily (Ronald) Toomer, and Amanda Crawford; 7 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Ronnie (Bonnie) Crawford and Richard Crawford; 1 sister Vivian (Leonard) Hennesy; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
